to visit the Smithsonian and eat excellent pizza in Georgetown.

Georgetown isn't where I'd go for pizza.

Where would you go for pizza? My brother lives in Silver Spring and we go to Mod, which I like. But I'm sure the city has some good options.

Oh, as for this thread. I'm pretty convinced that we lose Game 3. Just too much emotion. I'm split on Game 4. I'd like to believe that we win it, but they are very, very good on their home court.

So let's call it that they win 1.5 games and we win 0.5.

I think we can go in there and win game 3. They know they have to be perfect to beat us. They are truly questioning themselves after these first two. Morris looks manic out there. They know no lead is safe, we can disrupt them with the right matchups and they don't have the defense to slow us down. They wanted a physical series? They got it and they are buckling. Everything they hit us with, we took it and hit them harder.

Our team is not scared on the road, their confidence is growing each game, and we really have so many options with role players who are stepping up and making big plays. CBS is shining with his decision making. Isaiah is locked in.

On the bright side, this team is 3-0 on the road in the postseason so far  ;D

My hope is they split the two games at WAS, come back and win this series in 5  ;D

I predicted C's in 7, and honestly wouldn't be too surprised to see this series at 2-2 heading into Game 5, but the way the C's have played recently, I think they can split the two at WAS.

They've got to stay physical and knock down their open looks. Plain and simple.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I will be pretty devastated if Washington wins both at home so I am going with the consensus 1-1 split here - I certainly prefer to take game 3.

I am sure Bulls fans were feeling pretty good about their 2-0 lead going back to Chicago so I will remain hopeful rather than optimistic.

I predicted 7 games before the series began and that the home teams wins every game so I guess I'm sticking to that. I think Washington will have enough energy at home to close out these games.

The thing that gives me hope for the C's stealing a game (or two, what the heck) in Washington is that they're up 2-0 without putting together a full game yet. If they can come out strong and play 48 good minutes it would be the first time this series so that might be enough.

No more trailing 17-point or 12-point deficits in the 1st quarter to start the game PLEASEEEE celtics. It would be awesome if the Celtics start out with a 20-point lead and just build from there though lol.

As a fellow Silver Spring resident, I go to Pete's for New Haven/New York style pizza (they call it New Haven, but I think they're more NY) and Pacci's for a Neapolitan pizza.  Roscoe's in Takoma Park is slightly better than both of those, but not enough for me to get on the Metro for one stop instead of walking to eat somewhere.  If I'm going into DC just for the purpose of getting pizza (which I've definitely done) I would choose Menomale in Brentwood.  And if I'm looking for the best pizza in the DMV, hands down it's Pupatella in Arlington, which is as good as any pizza I've had in the US.  It's where the Italians go, and if you aren't already in line when they open for lunch, you might not get a table.

Admittedly, I prefer Neapolitan pizza.  If I want (or more accurately my dining companions want) trendy gourmet, but not a pure Neapolitan-style, I'd also recommend Timber Pizza, Two Amy's, and Ella's (a block from the Verizon Center, so convenient for a pre-playoff game meal) are all good.  DC can't hold a candle to Boston for places to just walk in and grab a slice from.  There's a local chain called Flippin' Pizza that's okay, but only because most other places are barely edible.  Adams Morgan has a few places that all declare to be the best of the slice shops, but they'd barely be considered ordinary in Boston.

(Note: There was a period in my life where I wanted to start a pizza blog.  Then I discovered the NBA CBA and these forums.)

I can't believe you chose the NBA collective bargaining agreement over pizza.

Who does that?!!!!
