Embiid is out for the rest of the year, Simmons misses the whole year, Nerlens is traded, and Philly has to keep Okafur just in case.  All the suffering and tanking and look what they have.

Note also that former MVP Derrick Rose is not in high demand and he did not save Chicago.

A consolidating trade by the Celtics would be very risky.  Trading 3 players and a high pick for Paul George is one achilles or ACL from wasting almost all of the Celtics built up assets.

The paper GM's and the fantasy league guys complain about Ainge not making a trade:  but they forget that basketball is played by flesh and blood, not by names.

Red Auerbach said that no one would ever win 8 championships in a row in the NBA because the more modern game has more injuries.  I think he is right.

I feel no sympathy for Philly. They knew what they were risking.

They kept taking bigs every pick, not trying to build a team , just taking he best big every year , tossed out guards as trash ......built a team of Five seven footers and is going to wind up with one or non as stars .

Simmons is going to be their only star after years of losing years on purpose.

Playing to loose...oh that's fan friendly

You are speaking to a cynical blog which is out for money. Maybe the forum is separate from the main page. Does this blog make money? What are the financials for this blog? I think it is important. When the head moderator never shuts up about DeMarcus Cousins, it makes one wonder what is really going on here.

Ainge needs to hit on 33% of Auerbach's title numbers to equal him. In 1965-66, there were 9 NBA teams. 9. Now there are 30. Ainge is competing against over three times the teams Red did. I am not undercutting Red, but let's keep things real.

The negative people must be changing their underwear. They wanted a loss against Cleveland and must feel disoriented.
what?
