IT is the only Alpha, in terms of stepping up and taking over. Smart has the potential to be a great leader, but he's not a guy that I see carrying the team on his back.

It's not a question of carrying the team your back. That's obviously ITs territory.

It's who is the leader of the team everyday all day and I do believe that's Smart.

That's not how I define Alpha. I mean, Scal was a leader, but nobody would call him one of the Alphas.

Steph Curry is one of the leaders on the Warriors, but with him shrinking in the playoffs two years in a row, his Alpha status is questionable.

Steph Curry is awesome, but Draymond Green is the heart and soul of that team.

That's why it was B.s. when Green was suspended in the Finals. Totally changed everything. LeBron slammed him and walked over him.

Not sure how you defined "leader" I continuously adopted that the leader will always carry the team.

Do you see Jimmy Butler or Demarcus Cousins as leaders? Because I don't, despite them carrying the team.

I voted Smart of the options offered. Even before his shooting picked up a bit he was a natural and vocal leader around the team, almost from the point when he was picked. AB is a leader by example but Smart lets other players know he is there, his aggression towards the opposition also encourages more effort from team mates.

Smart, Crowder and AB can provide a core that the Celtics so called 'less than elite level players' use to over power elite level teams. Especially now Smart is becoming more consistent with his shooting. I think once AB is back this team gets even better and can 'overachieve' on their overachievements.

Got a bit off topic. Feeling positive about the Celtics right now, despite the loss today.

Does this mean that when you're not winning even when you carry the team you are not qualified as a leader. Iverson lead the sixers to the finals, but they did not win the chip.

Iverson took hard fouls with his small body, rarely complain about not getting calls and doesn't throw his teammates under the bus. Not to mention, he have a father and son relationship with Larry Brown.
