I am fine with this.

In fact, best case scenario, Melo goes to Clippers, can't get along with Blake.  Blake goes to Boston.

Griffin is a broken down car who's only getting worse. WHy would you waste a max slot on him? He didn't get the Clippers very far, even with CP and Deandre they can't get out of the second round.

The real trade partner should be OKC. The trade should be Melo for Kanter and whatever makes money work. A salary dump for the Knicks but they pick up a good scoring Power forward who's young and injured for the rest of the year so doesn't effect lotto. Melo next to Adams seems like a thing.

You guys should listen to the new Bill Simmons podcast. He brings up some interesting scenarios. One where the Celtics would get Love and another where they get Redick and Pierce back.

Start at the 15:00 mark.

Seems like he's worth less than he thinks in the end (as I thought)

I never thought he would have any interest .  He will sign younger more athletic bigs.

Let Melo continue to mess up the Knicks.
Why should we bail them out?
Pass the Honey Nut Cheerios.

Nobody's suggesting bailing the Knicks out. The only posters who want him want to take advantage of their dysfunction to add him for next to nothing.

Melo is the dysfunction.

Melo would never waive the no-trade to go to OKC.  This whole situation shows how smart GMs would never agree to "no-trade" clauses.

(1)Danny would say he is not interested in player X, if he is not interested in X.

(2)Danny would also say he is not interested in player X, if he has already made a deal to trade for X.

Until the trade season is over, Danny is both interested and not interested in any given player.

Briefly put, Danny's thoughts and actions interact in ways that one cannot be accurately described independently of the other. Instead, his thoughts and actions must be described as a holistic system (aka Verschränkung Danny).

Note also that Danny is technically not lying in (2). Why would he be interested in a player he has already traded for?
