...I'm certain Ainge is doing all he can right now, at this moment to facilitate a trade before someone has to be cut.  Whether or not it happens is one thing, but I'm almost certain that anything involving a superstar coming back to us will involve Jaylen being traded.  Whether it's Paul George, Cousins, Butler, Griffin...whomever and whether it's now or at the trade deadline, JB will be wanted. The kid has a bright future, probably brighter than any rookie we've had here since PP.  Big Al had superstar potential but not like this kid.  Vets are raving about him! It's quite possible barring injury he could get to the next level pretty quickly especially if Brad let's him loose.

Question...do we use him as bait to get said superstar now or should we develop him and potentially have our superstar in 2-3 years that we're searching for now?

Griffin is a free agent at the end of the year, and Butler isn't going to push us over the top so no to both (my opinion.) I am kind of in the camp that I want to let our younger guys develop into a team that can perennially compete. I am not huge on mortgaging our assets for a 3-4 year window.

However, if Boogie, or more importantly PG13 are available, you almost have to do it. But there is no way they should give up JB AND both nets picks. These two give the benefit of having a large window (since both players are still young) and being superstar level talents.

I know the talk here is that since we have Horford we have to mortgage our future assets to have a small window with IT4 and Horford. I just really hope we don't do that. These two should be here to compete AND guide our young players.
