I expect crowder and thomas to be traded within the next 2 years... and hayward with noel to join as free agents next summer...the next 2 years are the last before contenting.. i value the brooklyn picks more than most... brown with the 2 incoming picks... alongside with smart will be our future championship team

I don't think Danny and Wyc will want to "back up the Brinks truck" for IT, so I do expect Thomas to get traded next summer or before the trade deadline in Feb 2018, rather then let that asset walk out the door in the summer of 2018.  I believe Smart, Terry, and Jackson are all being developed with this in mind.  The team will be ready for IT's departure and he will be fondly remembered as the guy who provided the bridge between mediocrity and contention.

I sure hope management finds a way to keep Avery and Jae.

It is going to be really interesting to see what kind of year Kelly has this season and what becomes of him next summer.

Depends on what the next CBA looks like. I don't see the Celtics committing a ton of money to IT and trying to build around him. However, if the Celtics can acquire the star player they are looking for I can see them paying to keep him as a secondary star. They'll pay for a winning team.

Somebody (somebodies, really) is getting traded though.
