This team would be exciting

If we didn't even have our starting 5.  Smart,  Green, Crowder, Brown, Zeller  with Rozier still off the bench and jerebko, Young, Hunter, Mickey and jackson was still pretty good future wise.

We'd still have a ton of draft picks coming to add to that.  That said I don't think Isaiah and Crowder are going to be here and starting forever.  Marcus and Brown will start on this team someday.

Crowder getting minutes with this unit is kind of interesting. Marcus is an allstar potential pg. Brown is a superstar in the making but still coming.

We really can just sit on those 2 guys for the next 15 years.

Marcus is really the ying to Isaiah's yang right now.  Plus Rozier and Bradley are awesome too.  Even jackson looks like a potential player someday last night.  I'd hang onto him. Green looked really good as a shooter too. His defense also looks very underrated. He and Young still get beat sometimes but Green less so and really is stepping up there.

Marcus can really be the starting pg on this team right now though and we wouldn't miss a beat. Different styles and defense and him setting the tone but still awesome.

Plus KO and whatever other scoring we can add to this.  We have Horford locked up for a while.

Our second unit is more exciting than a lot of starting units though.  Marcus was finding Zeller and getting him involved all night. If that's Horford he's killing it.

Marcus's fg percentage is sitting at 50 percent this preseason. His 3 pt shot is still coming but he is right there.

Good optimism. I just don't see Smart is a starter quality player at this point and yet you have him as an all-star? I hope he can really step it up but right now I don't see any all-star games in his future sorry.

I have him as an allstar quality player yes.  It's not so much optimism just how I see it.  I think Marcus is that good.  If he was on another team and starting he would be being hyped up as that. He's on our bench here and our backups are better than a lot of starters.  Still growing though.

There is still some question who our pg is of the future and Marcus fits right into that imo. He does some things better than Isaiah in ways. Isaiah is the guy right now though. The compliment each other well so it's no big deal.

We have 2 allstar quality potential players on our bench right now in Smart and Jaylen imo.  Rozier is really good too.  Still growing but talent wise and Marcus is right there right now imo.  Just needs to play.  Smart is James Harden on defense.  He is that good.

I agree Smart brings a lot of intangibles to the team and he's a very good defender but he's below average at passing, shooting, rebounding or anything on the offensive end of the court IMO. Remind the last time a defense first guard made the all-star team? Also I don't agree that if he was on another team he would be starting and we would be talking about him that way. I think he's your binky and you are bring very bias here sorry.

That's fine you think that.  Doesn't mean it's the case.  I was high on bradley and jaylen and rozier and a lot of guys before people were and usually they pan out. I think Marcus is a better pg than you give him credit for.  Is he the end all be all? No.  He is a compliment to isaiah right now.  jaylen can more do it all but Smart's shot is coming.  He's shooting 50 percent this preseason and has been what i expected as a pg. 

I'm used to that stuff though.  I don't have binkies.  I'm just smart.  you say one thing or you say something else you are this or that with the internet.

His shot selection has been a lot better which I think has helped his shooting %. Hope you're right about him guess we will see how he progresses this year. CBS has said he will get starter minutes, if that's the case he will have plenty of opportunity to shine.

The bench is really exciting to watch though.  The starters are good plus Horford but the bench has some really good pieces.  I'm enjoying watching the  bench more than the starters so far.

It's not just Marcus.  Brown, Rozier, Green, Young, KO is coming back.  jerebko is awesome.  Our bench is exciting and can really make some noise.

Marcus is the leader of the second unit and really should be getting 30 mpg  most nights at this point.  I think they said last game he had 12 30 plus minute games last year.    That should at least double if not triple.  I predict he'll get 25-30 easy this year.

jaylen is the future here and is going to be our best player in 3 years if not sooner.

Yea I like the whole team too. I like you am hopeful Brown will turn into a star. I really like what I have seen from him so far. Also Rozier is becoming one of my favorite players, he has really stepped it up. I hope KO comes back and makes a step forward, that would be huge for this team IMO.
