I don't see Crowder (or any other current Celtic) as a dirty player, and I don't see Brad Stevens in any way promoting or endorsing or allowing this kind of behavior.

Jr Smith took out Crowder. Let's not assume Crowder can even do it if he wanted.

Are you saying that Crowder is somehow incapable of hurting somebody because he got sucker punched by Smith?  That would mean that 1. You need to be tough to hurt somebody (but KO disproved that) or 2. That getting hit without warning by another professional athlete makes you a wimp, which is a bit ridiculous

I certainly don't think he would, but acting like he's not capable is just crazy
I'm bitter.

Possibly. I hear Cheesecake Factory is popular among the players.

If he can't retaliate why /how on Earth could he purposely initiate. Guy isn't that kind of guy. He's the type to get mad and instead of throwing a chair at the other guy he throws a towel.

Well then that's just saying that he wouldn't (which I agree with), but saying "Let's not assume Crowder can even do it if he wanted" is saying that, even if he wanted to, he would be incapable.  I think we can all agree that he's plenty capable of it

And that's not even mentioning that he was more physically incapable of retaliating (he screwed up his knee and I'd be surprised if he wasn't concussed by it, too) rather than not wanting to retaliate (ex: look at Rondo when Wade took him down.  I'm sure he would have loved to have hit him back, but the injury made it so that retaliating was out of the question)
I'm bitter.

I am way more skewed at looking at it though admittedly. The way I see if Crowder tried he would probably consider a hard foul taking a guy out as in make the guy feel like more hard fouls are coming. He wouldn't actually fathom doing any damage.

Not necessary. Crowder is going to made Durant unplayable by shutting him down so thoroughly with legal defense. Bradley and Smart are, similarly, going to smother Curry and Thompson. Iguodala won't be able to do anything with Brown on him, either. That just leaves Draymond Green to be enveloped by the defensive IQ of Al Horford.

Celtics win in 6, scoring all their points off turnovers.

Agree that "taking out" a player isn't cool, but doesn't anyone else miss the old school play of the Celts and Pistons era?

I would be extremely disappointed in him if he did.

This...

I don't like Durant as a person.  I think he's weak, I think he's a whiner, and I think he's a soft mommas boy.

But I do not advocate anybody trying to hurt him intentionally - that's messed up.

Hypothetical: What if Crowder injuring Durant brought about a 16/17 championship for the Celts? Entertaining this impossible scenario, would you then be on board with "taking out" Durant? Any difference if Italian mobsters do the job instead of Bae Crowder?
