 I'm talking we lost nothing on our team, just draft picks and we are adding The worst Defensive player in the Game.  And a top three offensive player in the game.

We still have Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Brown, Horford, Thomas, Amir to make up for his weakness's.

How many wins, and give me you best five.

 58 wins.

 Horford
 Crowder
 Jaylen Brown
 Harden
Thomas  Sub in Smart for defense.

It's Hypothetical for crying out loud. This is just an exercise to see how a dominant scoring guard without defense would improve our team.

Which it would improve our team tremendously. So man up and answer the question.

I think defensive wise
He'd be a sieve in our team based defense

Also offensively he'd hog the ball a lot which halts ball movement
Do our team wouldn't get into the flow of our offense

He's worse than me at defense, and would probably disrupt the flow of Stevens' system on offense.

Right now, I think we are a 58-24 win team. With Harden, probably 53-29.

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I don't think he necessarily makes us better either. He scores a lot but at the sacrifice of other players and defense. He worked in OKC because they were a high octane offensive team and he just added more to that dimension they had.  They could outscore teams with Durant and Westbrook and himself with guys like Ibaka inside.  They still were not able to win a championship, even with all that offense and athletic big men who could roam around and disrupt shots.

Listening to Harden talk about how he is great at his press conference, I question that somewhat.  He may be great on offense but he does it in a way where he puts all his energy into scoring points and does very little else.  Is that the definition of a great player?

To answer your question I don't know how many wins he gives us.  He could make us better or worse. I think we want to be able to utilize Al Horford who we just signed. He'd add another offensive dimension with Isaiah and Horford, but our defense would suffer.  We have some good roleplayers there. Depends on what we give up. If we are giving up marcus and bradley and amir and guys like that we would be a pretty bad defensive team.

Harden's coaches seem to think he'd play defense if other people scored, and the onus wasn't on him to do that so much.  But that's also just his game, at least the last few years in Houston.

Adding Harden could lead to chemistry problems and coaching problems, which could lead to fewer wins than last season. But I would imagine adding him would, more likely than not, lead to us getting 55-60 wins.

harden is now unobtainium due to his extension.  I would have liked to see what he could do on this stacked team as the scoring outlet.  I guess we need to hope Jaylen develops or maybe we get Paul George in free agency in 2017.  George is a more complete player anyways, that's who I'd love to have as a Celtic.
