Sure would.

I think he's making a mistake by going to GSW but it's HIS mistake to make. He's a grown man now.

I seriously don't think GSW wins a banner with him....JMO but there's not enough basketball to go around and I'd like to see how their roster will pan out now that they are in the process of gutting it for The Core Four.

He's only 27 but he has put SO MUCH into OKC already and that's not included the injuries he's dealt with. He's done his time there whether we like the current outcome or not.

Even with what we THINK we know about OKC and he and Westbrook I'm certain that there are other factors in play behind the scenes as well that caused him to make this choice.

Who knows GSW could falter next season and don't achieve their goal of winning it all AGAIN....and doesn't KD have the option of leaving after next season if I'm not mistaken? If so, BOSTON will be RIGHT THERE - right up near 55 wins or so and still playing basketball in May 2017 (or maybe even June).

And we'll enjoy yet ANOTHER high Lottery pick AGAIN.

Who says he won't revisit BOS? We're already on his mind after this recruiting presentation. Boston isn't going anywhere and we will continue to trend UP as a team.

I wish KD well but again I just don't believe it will work out for him in GSW. If it doesn't I certainly would welcome him to BOS.

I'm so tired of all this.
Do you know what being a Celtics mean?
Do you realize what type of player won championship in Boston.
Do you realize what it takes to compete, hustle and sacrifice for the jersey ?
Do you think we won banner 17 just because we added a big 3? Look what all players bring besides their talent, think deeply.
Now tell me if KD has a place here after what he just did.
If you don't have the answer, I seriously doubt you understand the meaning of being a Celtics.

To be honest we were lucky that way and iin position to add those guys whether through good drafting or whatever it was.  Players came here over other places like Russell because other parts of the country were so awful.

Doc always had that comment how the celtics had like  3 of those guys and the hawks had one in dominique.

The situation is just flipped now and there are only so many guys like lebron, curry and durant in the nba.

It's no different than Duncan going to SA.  People expect too much of these players.  Durant is going to do what is best for him.  That could have been here.  He had a lot of great opportunities.

West is just doing to us what we did to him in reverse.   I'm not saying West is like us either.   He isn't.  NEither is Durant.  These are guys who came up short their entire playing careers and West sold  Durant something.

Now the script is flipped.  We are the team looking up. We  need to find a way.

I get what you said and I agree in most part.
I will never understand this ring chaser thing. A legacy, a name for yourself to be remembered, a face of the franchise, that's what matters to me.
For instance I have great respect for Barkley, he was an ass, never pretend to be a nice guy, never won a ring, but to me, he's one of the greats.
I don't like Draymond Green but I don't hate him. He's a dirty player, he's an ass also, but he doesn't pretend to be an angel either.
Lebron and KD both pretend to be great man with good principles and great values in life.
Turn out to be 2 childish hypocrites.
And this will rule by example. More and more players will do that, until I'm completely fed up of this nba circus.

Absolutely!
GSW will have some tough choices in next couple of years. Curry, Green and clay will want their money too. Won't be able to keep everyone happy without having no bench

This type of free agency will here again next year too . Really exciting.

Dude has no heart.  No competitive spirit.  NO THANKS!  This is the Celtics.   We said no to that panty-man Dwight HOward and we'd sure as heck say no to that panty-man Kevin Durant.

thats all fair but its a superstar driven league.

I dont think you can pass up a superstar even if you ****ing hate him.
naw, b... he's a weenus.

I'm kidding.  Obviously I'd want him here.  He's arguably the most talented player in the league.  I'm really really disappointed in his decision, though.  Lost a ton of respect for him.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Of course!  I wanted him here 6 hours ago, just because I think his decision deserves all the scorn it's getting doesn't change that.

When he scores 15 points per game, finishes 15th in MVP voting, and is booed and mocked mercilessly on the road all season, he could have a change of heart after picking up a title.  Of course I would take him.

sounds like you will pick him up only if he begs us or anyone haha XD

No, if he decides to explore free agency again next year, I'd go after him hard again.

I believe he will opt out for more money but it would absolutely taint his reputation if he changes team again
Imagine the embarassment joining the enemy but not winning it all then he has to try again doesnt he.
And if they do win it all then all the more reason to stay like what LBJ is doing now so overall..I think he will be a Warrior for more than what he is signed for...can't say the same though with Curry and Thompson...those guys may test free agency when they are due specially Klay because in this 4 horsemen marriage, its Thompson who will suffer most from lack of shots and lesser limelight focus...think Harden during his OKC days.

Just had a one hour power cut and I thought I might miss the Celtics game :(

Phew! So excited to see our possible franchise cornerstone in Jaylen Brown ^^ I really have a good feeling from him xD let's see...this is a good time for him to develop! There is a good one year to get his feet wet with playoffs (if everything goes well ^^) !

Now as for KD, say he gets a serious injury again, how likely would we be interested on picking him up again after he's done with the Warriors? (If he will be lol xD ) I really don't think he's as athletic as people might say he is and probably could be a reason why he went to the Warriors because he probably can't carry the load here lol.....(althogh he wouldn't have to play defence -.-) , looks like he's got 3 good years in him just by looking at him :/
