Durant is gone.  The ship has sailed.  He made it super clear he wasn't going through this free agency thing again next year.  Still, he had to sign a 1 year deal so he can get appropriate money when the cap jumps next summer.  Planning for durant at this point is grasping at straws.

New focus is trying to either wait out the decade long dynasty (their 4 stars are in their mid 20s) or try to put together a miracle group that can sneak out a championship if golden state gets blindsided by a bunch of injuries one year.   Otherwise, the Game Genie Cheat Code Warriors own this league for the foreseeable future - at least until Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid give them a challenge (lol).

I would target guys like Marc Gasol, Love.  Not sure on Cousins or Pau.    Not sure on Jimmy Butler.  Paul George maybe.

A Marc Gasol-Al Horford big man combo would be fantastic! It sounds like, with Conley staying, Memphis wants to compete thought, and their players genuinely like each other, so I don't know if they are willing to move him. Zizic and picks would be a decent offer.

I agree the warriors have a super team.  Hats off to them. We just have to do our thing to compete with that.  Durant more than likely will reup with them.  He just did this to get his money and will reup.  So will Curry.

West has done a marvelous job.  Durant is an obvious upgrade over Bogut and Barnes.  They still have iggy and barbosa. Ezili is their best center.  the way the cap is you can build super teams and West did that.  Green and Klay are more than likely going to have to take less than max contracts to keep it all together but it works. The cap is going to rise again too so they might all get the max and still have a bench.

C's are in working at summer league though.  We have to keep doing that and being the celtics and target players we need.  Developing our own guys and keep working.  Horford is a good signing I feel.  A little risky but he doesn't cap us out.  We have a lot of young guys and talent.

Blake is another guy.  I'm for adding another guy like that.  Blake, Love, Gasol. Those are all good choices.

Do you really think Embed is going to be a player?  I can't see the kid making through an NBA season.  He didn't make it through a short college season without problems and at this point he has only gained in size and stress on those bad feet.
