for #4 and #13.

Looks like the Suns are craving Bender. Let them have him ... we get 4 and 13 and we draft

Buddy and Maker. Bender and Maker are pretty much the same player, no?

If they're willing to make this deal, it's a no brainer.  I'd really like to get Hield or Murray, but at #4, you still get one and pick up the extra #13 pick?  That's insanely good, as with 13, 16, 23, 31 and 35, Danny might even be able to trade up again into the top ten picks.

We would have to swap with either or both the DAL and BOS pick with their #13.

Simmons and Ingram aren't locked yet to go 1 and 2.  Let's hold off on what the best trades are until we know what the hell?

I agree there will be rumors with us swapping with the suns though. I dont really get it though unless we decide we just dont want bender and want to  pick up a few extra slots.

Most mocks have them 1 and 2.

Thon is more athletic by a mile.   Bender 27" max vertical to Thon's 36.5".

Bender's handlers knew it would hurt his stock if he did the athletic tests.  So they hid him, plain and simple.

I don't think the celtics make that deal unless it would be 3 and 23. Moving up 3 spots in the middle of the round (In a "weak draft") is not worth forgoing the pick of the litter to speak of those 3-7 guys.

We do not need more picks. This team doesnt need to add 4 1st round rookies to a squad with 4 very raw players already on it. Trade the pick for established talent or just take the best player available.

nothing wrong with getting a pick if it is used for a  trade and we can sure use a trade.
In the world of the NBA you dont trade a dollar bill for 4 quarters so that you can then try to trade two of the quarters for a 50 cent piece. You keep the dollar bill. You dont want pocket change

I agree with you, but the proposal in this case is not trading a dollar for four quarters. It is trading a dollar for a dollar and 2 quarters.

Not really. I think Bender is a dollar now that will mature his interest and be a good 3 or 4 dollars in two year. Netting pick 4 and 13 is potentially .65 cents plus .38 cents.

Sometimes less is more.

I go Bender.

Then I wouldn't make that trade.

Okay, but I was responding to what the OP actually proposed, namely #3 for #4 and #13.

The bolded part simply isn't true. Bender had obligations to his European team as their season wasn't over yet. I'm not sold on Bender or Maker but let's not make up stories to justify not liking one or the other.

Ha!

Asking for patience on a CB board? Not exactly our strong suit is it?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
