Sullinger has been pretty disappointing in his time in Boston. He has A LOT of skills. High BBIQ, great passer, consistent mid-range shooter, elite on the boards, able to score on bigger dudes near the hoop. Solid positional defender, especially with low-post guys, while lacking "rim protection" skills. Sullinger has the skill set to be a solid 17/10/4 kind of guy. It's a shame he's turning into a modern day Oliver Miller, because he could be really, really good if he just did a few simple things.
But he hasn't. Were 4 years into Sully's career now. He 'll get a few halfway decent offers because he still contributes even at his weight. But I don't think he gets 8 figures. I'd be interested in keeping him on a short term deal for cheap money, but it's likely he won't accept that.
See, if Sully isn't on this team at the start of next season, we HAVE to have a different high level rebounder in our rotation. Sully is one of the best rebounders in the NBA, and were seriously lacking rebounding outside of him. So really, if your for getting rid of Sully, you should have an idea in mind of who we can get to replace him.
