The author of that analysis had only 1 outcome on mind.

Smart is younger.  He will be better.

Is Sully still fat?

Well, he will become better than who he is right now. Maybe the comparison to butler was a bit premature but Marcus still has a lot of ball in front of him. He will become a better basketball player as he progresses through  his career.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I think players blossom at different times during their career. Some blossom early in HS but can't seem to figure it out in college therefore never reach the pros. Some show promise thru HS end up blossoming in college but burn out by the time they reach the pros. Then u have ur late blossomers who show promise in HS, promise in college and blossom in the pros. I think Butler blossomed in the pros and he still got a ways to go. Smart seems like he's the kind that blossomed in college but has enough to play in the pros but he may or may not be fit as a SuperStar in the Pros. Only time will tell but I think Butler will be a Superstar on a Brad Stevens coached Celtics more so then Smart will. Smart would do great in San Antonio where POP would utilise his defensive skills n not have to count on his offensive skills. Just my thought for the day...

Considering some of the other things I've read on this board today: Durant is a bad fit for the Celtics, R.J. Hunter is a good defender - no, this isn't the craziest thing I've seen.

Not by far.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I just don't see it with smart. On offense it's hard for me to come up with a 25-30 minute guy in the league that is worse on offense. I'm sure there is but it's not easy.
