Cousins is a moody non-winning player who holds the ball way too much on offense (a concern in our system), takes a lot of bad shots, loves going coast to coast instead of hitting a guard and filling the lane, and takes a ton of plays off especially if he's unhappy, which by body language happens to be a lot of the time. Then there is the concern of him potentially poisoning the cohesiveness Stevens has cooking with his constant whining and disruptive behavior. For a top 2 pick, no way. Keep the pick and spend the money Cousins would get in free agency.

I'd consider trading it. I'm not saying I definitely would, but what if the offer is:

Simmons for Cousins + #8?

If Simmons turns out to be very good but not elite, that's a good deal for us.

Than package 8 and players for butler.

And Sacramento would never do that

I'm not so sure.

They know they need to get value for him before he demands a trade. What better value than landing a top prospect?

I keep hearing the Kings want to fill their building. Isn't watching the top pick develop a great way to do that?

Carmelo, CP3, KG, and pretty much every star recently traded yielded a lesser return. Only Kevin Love, an All-NBA player traded to a desperate team with no cap flexibility, yielded equal assets.

You know what he's about Roy. There isn't a hint that he wants anywhere else, yet.

No player has infinite patience. Either he's demanding a trade, or he's walking next contract.

Brooklyn gets the top pick. If so n we land Ben Simmons, do u think he would be worth more as a player, or as a chip to acquire more then one superstar in a trade ?

I'm sure there could be a 3, 4 team trade involving Ben Simmons for say Two top 10 players. I'm not gonna name anyone but there would be some big time decisions to be made by Danny Boy n the brass. What u guys think ?

Sorry to be pedantic, but shouldn't you say "If Boston wins the lottery?".

When I say Brooklyn, I mean Boston. We own Brooklyn so it doesn't matter how its said. Brooklyn/Boston samething

Since I don't want to be pedantic, I'm shutting up.

TP, EB.

I think "accurate" or "precise" are better descriptions of your post than pedantic.

But, hey, this is celticsblog, so why be concerned with being accurate, precise or even correct for that matter? ;)

Edit: The TP was for your discretion in not "responding"....mostly.

Is that good enough to justify giving up #1?

It's close.  I think Ingram is going to be really good.  I'm not sure I want to pass on him.

This is a good point, and one Cleveland is going to pay for dearly.  That looks like it might end up being regrettable.

At some point value would be too good to pass on. Chances of any prospect ever contributing the combined value of those two is very low.

Infinite patience for Karl botching the team? You know my opinion of the talent (Cousins/WCS/Gay/Casspi/Koufos/Collison/Curry etc). Need to see with another coach

Nah fam. Remember, Boston is the team with the bad lottery luck. Not Brooklyn. For what it's worth, it's going to be Brooklyn's ping pong balls, not ours. So technically, our poor luck won't affect how the balls bounce since they're not even our balls.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about
