26:30 Simmons asks IT about Fultz (because they're talking about Washington guys). Thomas says he's special, #1 pick for sure. Simmons mentions how Boston has a chance to get him because Boston has a high draft pick, Thomas says go get him. Thought it was tough to tell if Thomas was being sincere though as he was kind of unenthused throughout the whole interview. Here's my beef, how could Simmons not ask IT what he'd think about playing with Fultz on the C's! Could they thrive together? Too many PGs? Should the C's trade the pick? Perfect opportunity wasted.
39:25 Simmons asks IT about Boogie. IT says Boogie is unstoppable on offense, give him the ball and get out of the way. IT doesn't know if NO is the right place for him.
Simmons asks him if he thought there was a chance the C's would trade for him, IT just says he heard the rumors like everyone else. If you're soft you can't be on Cousins team. Cousins respects people who stand up to him. Here's where Simmons missed the boat again, how could he not ask IT about how Cousins would fit in Boston, if Boston should have traded for him? Another missed opportunity.
54:11 Bill briefly mentions the trade deadline. Didn't ask IT if he thought the team should make a trade. Though IT mentioned he thought the team would do something.
55:12 Is Brad Stevens the best coach you ever had? Long, silent pause. He eventually says yes, but didn't feel sincere to me (though maybe he was just thinking, again he seemed unenthused for most of the interview). IT did perk up when they talked about Stevens at the All-Star game, talked about how guys loved his out of bounds plays, they joked how it's a great recruiting tool, and in the locker room the other guys were saying Brad is special and IT said ya he knows his stuff.
Thorughout IT had good thins to say about Smart, Brown, and Horford. Said Green is the funniest guy on the team, and the locker room isn't the same when Green's not there.
Nothing special, just disappointed Simmons did press about Fultz/Ball/Nets pick, the Cousins trade, and the trade deadline in general.
