lets say you used

stretch 4
stretch 5
and surround it with shooters

how would whiteside react?

because all he does is block everyone who tries to attack the paint
how would you let whiteside play defense outside?

Quite possibly.  That's how the '01-02 Celtics beat the Mutombo/Iverson Sixers.  They consistently stuck Rodney Rogers at the 5 and either pulled Dikembe out to the three point line and opened the lane or had Rodney shooting wide open threes if Dikembe elected to stay below.

Forcing switches is pretty much the way to go. Works on Juggernauts like Roy Hibbert too

You beat Whiteside largely by feasting on the offensive glass whenever he is in. Which is one of the strengths of the C's. Of our possible opponents I think I'd rank it in order I'd prefer:

1. Miami
2. Charlotte
3. Atlanta
