Can't wait for the big game tonight - this is HUGE! If we win, then we pretty much not only control our own destiny (though we'd have to win the last two as well), but we ALSO send a HUGE message to the entire Eastern Conference.

Plus, I may be mistaken, but I think this is the first time this year we've gotten to 15 games over 500.... and if we win out we can also hit the symbolic number of 50 wins, but of course we must win this huge game tonight for that to happen.

I think this is such a huge test because even though we beat Golden State, we went into that game with no expectations. This game on the other hand we do have expectations, and so much is on the line.

Let's go Cs!!!

true. this is pretty much a playoff game in the regular season. each team wants to win since it directly affects their playoff seeding. let's see what the celtics are made of tonight.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If we win tonight we are third... and we will reach 50 wins something few would expect at the start of the season

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
This will be a very tough game.
ATL are rested and playing very well.
We'll need to hit threes and defend the three really well.
Let's hooe Amir and Sully can keep Horford and Milsap to season averages at best.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

The next 3 games are the start to the C's playoffs run.  The Atlanta game starts it off and is most important.  The 3rd seed is a the best position for the C's to attempt to advance to the conference finals.  Number #1 they will have home court in the first round and they stay on the opposite side of the Cavs.

Rough loss - we had this game won. But if the Raptors win today vs the Knicks, then the Cavs must try to win tomorrow against the Hawks to clinch the #1 seed... so here's to hoping the Hawks lose that game, making it possible (albeit unlikely) that if they lose their last game to the Wizards and we win out, that we still get the #3 seed.

a true test after a west coast trip and an away back to back against a rested atlanta-if anything this game makes atlanta beatable if we face them-celts were playing on vapor at end of 3rd quarter and 4th
it just showed how the celtics rebuild is working-

This.  I've been watching how this all unfolds for a week or so - we really lucked out that Cavs lost to Bulls last night.

Or another way to think about it is this - Cavs havent locked up the first seed yet. If they would lose at home to Atlanta (could happen) and Detroit (who they've struggled against this year) and the Raptors win out with their three easy remaining games, then the Raptors could overtake the one seed by virtue of tiebreaker, which means we'd want the four seed anyways to avoid Cleveland until the ECF. So no matter who wins tomorrow in Cleveland, we still have an outside chance of being on the right side of the bracket to avoid Cleveland.

The Hawks are still a really good team. How many series have they won with Horford over the years?

Celts still have work to do to reach where the Hawks are at.

Only won 5 series since he was drafted by my count.
