Threads like this are embarrassing. They are fighting for the 3 seed in the East and people want them to lose??? What is wrong with some of you?

One game could mean the difference between having a top two pick or not.
One game could be the difference between home court for a round in the playoffs.

It's all perspective.  We are all C's fans here.  But, those who are rooting harder for the Nets picks see that as a more important part of our future vs. a slightly better chance of winning a round in this years playoffs.  I mean let's face it, the C's are not winning a title this year, and can you just imagine how good the C's will be with a top 2 pick?  Again, it's all just perspective on what's more important ... short term vs. long term.  (Not withstanding the attracting free agents with a nice playoff run argument).

I've been following the Nets' pick position all year and am generally more depressed by a Nets win than a C's loss, but I will say, down the stretch tonight I was rooting hard for a C's win.
The C's can't control what happens in the lottery. We've seen in the past that getting the "better" odds doesn't guarantee you anything. BRK is going to be a top 5 worst record. Let the ping pong balls fall where they fall. They could get the 1st pick, they can get the 5th. Who knows? They can't control what happens.

They can control beating the freaking Suns. I can't wait until the regular season is over so we can just worry about playoff basketball. I'll think about the lottery again on May 17th.

Remember in 2014 when Cavs finished with a better record than the Celtics and won the lottery?

I'm with you on this. I feel there's more at stake in the lottery than in the current playoff seeding. But who am I to complain when my team wins, amirite?  8)

lol....We'll have to let the chips fall where they may...this franchise is on the verge of greatness. One lucky draw can put us into new territory.

I really can't understand the thrill of "tanking." I don't really get it when we are somewhat bad, and I certainly don't get it when we are somewhat good. To the people who support throwing games actually watch the games? I kind of wonder what percent of posters here don't actually watch the games. Because losing hurts- why would anyone want that and spend their time trying to persuade people it's a good thing on a message board?
