I'm p---ed we acted like we were all set instead of adding some weapons in case of needs...
Dorell Wright would have been perfect here especially given the crowder injury.
There was plenty of practice time since the trade deadline and we could have taken advantage of it to ease Wright in...
Anyways, just my little rant, I guess we will go to the playoff war with what we have...

I felt the same way when the March 1st deadline came and went and Danny didn't pick up anyone. I even started a post titled "Will Danny be Out-maneuvered in June-July" based primarily on him not making a move to acquire anyone this winter. My feeling was we would likely have an injury to a front-line player and having an insurance player would be proactive planning.

In hindsight, it's likely Danny made the right decision. While acquiring someone like Wright might have made us a better team, it still would not have been enough to put us in the Finals series. Now, with Crowder being out, we get to find out what the rookies and Young are made of. That could help the team more in the long run.

maybe I missed it but I believe Wright is still a FA and I believe a player must be a FA by march 1st to be playoff eligible not actually on a teams roster.

You all act like you can decide who you sign and the price you want.
How do you know DA didn't want him in a first place?
How do you know this player really wanted to play here for the rest of the season?

I trust DA with its decision. If he sign Clarke, there much be an excellent reason or maybe just the only option left for him at that time.

Coty Clarke is probably as good as Wright at this point.

I read an article saying that Wright wanted to find a long term fit, not just for the playoffs. So he's likely seeking a multi year deal. If I guessed then that would be a sticking point with DA

I hear you, but that 15t spot can allow a team to bring in a difference maker (remember PJ Brown?) Other teams like the Heat were able to bring players like Joe Johnson who is helping them tremendously with that so called 15th spot and we even got beaten by Houston thanks in part to M Beasley who also got plug in the same way...
Injuries happen and if a spot is open use it appropriately to cover for such risks.

He wants a long-term deal. I also assume he wants more than the vet minimum, in which case, he may need to wait until next offseason.

Not necessarily.  He could look for a team which is likely to have a need for a player like him and go there hoping to play well enough for a few weeks to earn consideration for a long-term deal.  The team depth and need for roster spots to accommodate future draft picks make the Celtics a bad destination for a free agent looking for a long-term home.

Wright might've been able to help but I think getting Hunter and/or Young some minutes on the wing can be valuable. I'm hoping to see a little of both of them for the next two weeks.

At this point the 15th roster player is there for a practice body. Probably wont see meaningful playing time. Makes sense for a dleague player because a 10 day contract is like a years pay for them.
