Howard, good has he has been, is too much risk I think. Horford seems the best fit of the names being mentioned, even if he isn't the best player.

I think with the glut of players we have and the number of picks, DA may want to make a move to ensure he doesn't end up having to pay way above or give assets away after the season.

In terms of enthusiasm, I am probably more enthused by the players we have than most of the trade prospects mentioned. No matter how much I like them though, you know that when it comes to the run home and the playoffs, a stronger team can only help.

A common occurrence here fits the (age)(health)(contract) paradigm. The two common names in DH and AH are old(relatively), have injury histories, and are due for new lucrative contracts.

I'd be happy if we got horford for the Boston 1st.   I'd be ok with it if we got him for that pick and the Dallas 1st, though at some point we are better off just trying to sign him this summer and giving up nothing.

Id be pretty excited if we got Kevin love.

I'd be pretty happy with either of those scenarios too, in all honesty. I wouldn't be happy giving up the Brooklyn pick for Horford though.

Also I wouldn't be excited for getting Love, as I feel Cleveland will want more than he is (IMHO) worth.

I'll be perfectly happy if the only major move Danny makes between now and the start of next season is drafting a top five pick this summer to add to our core.

What's he gonna do with the other seven picks?

Also, decisions to be made on Turner, Sullinger, Zeller, Amir, and Jerebko.  You'd bring them all back?

Will Rozier, Hunter, Young, Mickey ever play significant minutes for the Celtics?

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that some moves are gonna get made.

That's the issue for me too. Rozier, Hunter and Young (let alone Thornton and Mickey) are hardly getting playing time. With so much untested talent what are we going to do with 8 more picks? Send them all to China and Brazil?

Either now or later, we ll have to trade some of our picks, esp. those 5 second rounders.
