Poor taste or joke on the part of Turner

What Turner doesn't understand is , he might not even be brought back next season. Maybe even traded tomorrow

Turner like a Swiss army knife , is a good player to have off the bench.  But I wouldn't pay him more than 7-8 million a season cap increasing or not

Someone will pay him 7-8 million I can almost guarantee that.

I don't want to use the ESL excuse, but I think what Evan is saying here is he doesn't care about how much Danny would pay him, he just wants to stay in Boston.

Am I the only one who interpreted this in this manner, or do I really need to brush up on my English understanding?

It can be taken both ways. Taken litterly, he is saying that DA has the prerogative to award him with an appropriate contract that reflects his playing ability.

ET will definitely be looking for a 30-40 million deal at minimum but I'm sure he values a good environment after the messes of Philly and Indy.
