The point is your making mistakes if your roster is stacked with short guards that are not natural point guards.
This roster needs some changes. It's kind of ridiculous all these midgets and no true point guards.
Those short "midgets" play much bigger than their stature for one. Those short "midgets", with the exception of Thomas (who's a legit All-Star candidate) are at the top or near the top of defenders in both the 1-2 positions, with Smart actually able to guard about 3 positions at a high level.
That this team needs roster changes at some point is a given, again not a revelation. We're hopeful that one or two of our prospects develop into genuine PGs, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, and you move on. There's no mistake being made here other than impatience.
In the meantime, we have another young cheap vet, who whether one likes or dislikes, is more than capable on filling that role from the SF/SG position. That you get a legit PG in the team doesn't mean that he wouldn't suck.
Upgrades are always wanted, but that's stating the obvious.
