Anthony Davis - This guy probably belongs in a separate category than all the others, but he has really had a disappointing start to the season. His overall numbers are ok, but for a guy that appeared to be climbing like a meteor last season spawning "is he the best player in the game mentions" he has nearly doubled his turnovers, seen his shooting declining from 53 to 48% and is scoring a little bit less. I think the move to put him on the perimeter is a disaster and he has shockingly regressed from MVP discussion to All-star level play. I also never expected for a team was on to play a 3rd of the season at a .280 clip even it was him and 11 larry hughes.

LOL

I guess the more I think about this the more it kind of clearly is Lawson as the most disappointing player. It is a larger fall from possible all-star to out of rotation than from rising prospect to complete bust (Stauskas , Bennett), or from starter to bench (Pierce) or From MVP to all star (Davis).

A few people have said Harden. He has had some curious games (he basically refused to shoot in the loss against the Nets), but in general he has seemed like is playing hard in the games I have seen. It seems like either the overall chemistry is toxic, they really need josh smith back for their second unit, or they have already started to turn it around with their frontcourt getting healthy (montejunas and Jones now playing).

I think it's harden over lawson
Cuz harden was 2nd in MVP voting
And looked like he had improved defensively last season
This year looks like he has regressed defensively and offensively

Lawson gets a pass
As he just came in and is new to their system (adjusting to playing off ball with harden)

2 weeks ago I would have said Kobe.  I'll go with Lawson though.  Was supposed to be the missing link and has been largely ineffective.  Harden has bounced back nicely after a really rough start as has kept them in the playoff picture.

I'm shocked at CP3's numbers, but he has been a bit banged up.  Also not sure if Lance has been mentioned, but he can't even get on the court.  Maybe I should know better with him by now though.

On this team it has to be Marcus Smart, who by 2018 might have absolutely zero trade value.

I don't think Smart is disappointing -- injuries happen.  When he's been on the court, he's been very effective.   Kelly was the most disappointing before a short resurgence.  Then disappeared again (good game tonight thought).  Jonas (though expectations weren't terribly high) has been consistently bad.  And Lee has been a serious dispappointment.

Very effective?  C'mon man, 33% shooting and a PER of 10?

Also, Marc Gasol and Z-Bo are two guys who deserve being added to the conversation.
