1. Marcus Smart becomes a legitimate NBA starting point guard, averaging 14/5/6

2. IT4 is the 6th man of the year and makes plenty of clutch baskets

3. Celtics trade for Boogie Cousins at the deadline using  2 Nets picks,Sully, and Zeller as the bait.

4. Celtics trade the last Nets pick (right to swap in 17) and Rozier, Young, and Lee to NYK for Carmelo Anthony.

Hmm.  The problem with #3 is that Sully is a RFA, so it'd have to be a sign and trade in which case Sac really has no incentive to trade for him when they can just sign him.  Also, Sully or Zeller would have to have shown to be a potential all star for that trade to happen I think.

#4 is interesting.  Having Boogie in place is probably the a scenario where I would now want Carmelo on the team too.  That's a mean 1-2 punch with some solid role players in place around them.  We fans might endure some frustrations with their attitudes at times, but overall I think the product would be extremely positive.

Calling it now: Net's get the 4th pick in the 2016 draft. C's use it to get Brandon Ingram from Duke as the starting SF. Becomes out next Superstar.

Smart
Hunter (Becomes SOLID guard next year, lethal shooter)
Ingram

I'm gonna let you guys fill in the PF and C position. We have a bright future folks! Stay excited!

i'm sure the Knicks would gladly trade away the rights to Ben Simmons. nbd.

this draft class doesn't matter anyway. everything is just preface for THON MAKER. that's the only prospect Danny should be worrying about and aiming for starting now

The Knicks won't have that pick, the Nuggets have the right to swap with them. The Nuggets just extended two SF so I doubt they would pick Simmons or another SF.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

By the way guys, not to go too in depth defending a hypo that was meant to be pretty unlikely in the first place, Simmons is just a name.  Pick anybody else currently projected to go in the top 5.

My idea with Simmons was that part of the "good fortune" in this scenario is that a highly touted prospect with lead scorer potential falls just far enough in the draft for the Celts to trade up and get him.

Simmons, for example, looks great in high school videos, but maybe he struggles now and then in college, or teams have concerns about him being a bit of a tweener, or the team that is in the right slot to draft him has a glut of forwards, or whatever.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
