The Lakers wanting a star, but not being able to do anything about it makes me really happy. Sorry, Jimmy, you should have played a little crappier this year so the Bulls wouldn't max you out.  :-*

Greg Monroe did just that last year, but it was with the team that held his rights.  So not quite the same thing, but it was a prominent RFA signing a 1 year deal.

Nope, it's Laker Nation. All they do is hype up every free agent and their interest in the Lakers. They report some things every now and then but only after it's been reported by someone credible first.
