He's worth an offer.....22 years old and still plenty of time to develop.

He's about to turn 23...but I agree he's pretty darn good for his age when you consider he's younger than Olynyk and even a tad younger than Sully.

Thing is if we offer this kid 15 million it's going to be a market value contract in 2016-17.

I think the idea of taking this guy is to
a) fill some of that cap room before the large spike while he has potential- he's only started one full season in the NBA.
b) fills a position of need for us and also lets us play super small ball with Crowder at the SF and Harris at the PF.
c) get his numbers up with a carefully orchestrated offense that he can be the focal point of and increase his trade value and the subsequent 'package' value that we can offer teams with our Brooklyn picks.

If he starts averaging 20 points, 5 boards, 5 assists then a trade package of

Harris+2016 Dallas pick+one or two of the 2016, 17', or 18' Brooklyn picks looks pretty amazing for someone like Cousins.

Yeah that's actually the best way of looking at it.

Now the LA Lakers and New York Knicks are also in the running for Tobias Harris.

Get to work Danny.

I like the fact that he is young and has good size for a SF. But I honestly don't see him making a "huge" jump. I don't really see elite scoring skills and I'm not sure if offering him a max contract is worth that. I don't think he's a bad player but I also don't think he's going to be the "guy" to take the C's to the next level.

No one player will take any team to the next level, Mia had 3 of the best players at their positions and  1 of them was one of the greatest EVER, they won 2 rings and 1 was off of missed fts in the finals and a Ray Allen last second game winner in the eastern finals!

You have to start somewhere. He can be part of the journey or someone else who provides what he does.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Miami had 3 players who were legitimate difference makers at their positions. Can we say that about Harris? Does anyone project him to make a significant jump like that to the next tier? I really don't see that with him.

amen brother.  handing out big money to get us right back to no flexibility would be the dumbest thing danny and his dumb son could do.

We're not bad enough to get a top 3 pick and the only star who has expressed any interest in coming here is Love. Which stars are we supposed to be signing?
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

No flexibility seems like something you just made up given the facts.

Is Harris ever going to give us what LBJ or Wade did? No. Can he ever provide what Bosh did, who knows? Also, that team won twice, are you saying that it's impossible for Harris to be as good/provide what the past champions 2nd or 3rd best player did? There are many ways to skin a cat!

Honestly, this is still something that doesn't even matter, you people act as if he is the be all end all of what we would (need to) do! If we did get him and it doesn't work out there are so many ways to send him packing if we needed to.
