LA...A great place for some one with substance abuse issues....That may not end well. I hope the kid the best and gets his life together, but he needs a stronger system in a city with a slower life stye to it....

An important point to mention is that he signed a summer league contract, and not an actual regular season contract, with LA.  He hasn't even gotten a training camp invite.  And he's free to sign with any other team in he meanwhile -- summer league is far from binding.

Still, I'm glad the C's passed on him.

   Yeah, that's not true. A lot of teams have second rounders that make the team. This team had nine players under contract befor the draft, no depth at the center position. Forty five would have been the perfect place to take a flyer on a Upshaw/Wood/Dakari/Alexander.
