Mickey at 51

Triboy...in 3, 2, 1....

Ford thinking: I have not seen a game Mickey has played. But he is a 6'8 pf.  Kind of athletic.   Hmmm 51 it is

Does Ford actually follow who has attented which workouts? Which prospects were asked to come in for 2nd workouts? Which prospects have been given a promise?  Mickey has stated he has been given a promise by a team picking in the late 20s.

Here you go Triboy...
Quote
(via Chicago) Mickey could go 10 to 15 spots higher. He was very impressive in Chicago. But teams are still trying to figure out what else he gives besides shot-blocking. The Magic are in desperate need of rim protection, and this appears to be a good fit.

Again if Ford watched a game or 2 , if you made an effort to watch a game or two (eddie20), you would understand there is more to shotblocking in Mickeys game.

I wi be happy if Mickey is picked by the Celts at 45. But it wont happen.  At 45 will turn out to be one of the steals of the drafts

Givony, who you respect, has him going #39. He hasn't seen him play either? Apparently you're thr only one around who's seen him play, which is why you have him correctly ranked alongside Portis.

JG has us picking rhj at 16. Possible but i doubt it.

He also has hezonja going to the knicks at 4. Again not sure about this prediction

Just make sure you have a lot of coffee ready if you're planning to stay up until Mickey's name is called.

Haha ok sure.  There is already a thread regarding promises given.   If teams retract on their promise that is bad news. Maybe Mickey and other players are lying but I doubt it

That looks like a very nice talent haul to me.

Dekker isnt a sexy pick but has solid starter potential and I belive he will surprise people in the NBA. He has great SF size, solid athleticism and has a skill set better suited for the spacing of the NBA game.

Vaughn is young and loaded with potential as a scorer.

Martin is rumored to have a 1st round promise. If the Cs can get him in the 2nd I really like the pick. His versatility at the 4 will fit nicely in BS system

A Harrison was viewed as a stud prospect a few years ago. His game reminds me alot of Turners and he could really thrive if used properly. Boston seems like a team that could down the road really put him in a position to thrive.

If we keep all our picks this isn't the worst outcome. However, there is no way we keep all our picks, so a mock draft without trades seems kind of useless.

If we stay at 16 I can live with Dekker. At 28 Vaughn would be an absolute steal. Andrew Harrison at 45 would also be a good pick imo
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Why would we take Oubre when we have Young? They're both lefty shooters whose skill sets are very similar, it seems like a redundant move. If we were to draft Oubre, it would probably be to trade him to Charlotte for whoever is available at #9. If we stay at 16, I say Portis. I have a feeling that we will be moving up, though.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

Oubre is more slight of frame and a better athlete. I think you could easily play the two together once they develop.

The real answer to this questions is, you take the best player available and hope they turn out, if you pass on someone because they do something similar to a guy you are hoping develops you have made a mistake.

Is Oubre not more of a slasher?

James Young a shooter?

I want Vaughn at 16 and I like Dekker, so I would adore this draft.

"There's no one else at this spot that excites them.  This guy doesn't really either ...."

Not the words you want to hear on draft day.

Expecting someone exciting at 16? Dekker blows in my mind. A 3 that can't shoot or handle. WTH do we need him for?

If this is our draft, I' tuning out until the next offseason...

I like Vaughn especially with a late 1st pick, that seems like it would be really good value.  Spurs are rumored to be interested in him as well.  Vaughn seems like a similar player to James Young, young, not yet completely dedicated on the def end, but with a lot of talent for scoring.

Let him and young battle it out in camp for playing time off the bench...

I think Vaughn is going to go higher than people expect.

I also think Young will play a lot more 3 as he gets older and adds weight. The two playing together would be great for floor spacing.
