Yea this makes no sense for us. Also AB is worth more than this, when you factor in his skill and contract he is a good chip to have.

Exactly. AB is worth more than a late 1st and cap space. Ainge turned down multiple offers for AB that were very similar (or for all we know, the exact same offer) at the deadline.

If we use AB as a trade chip to move up in the draft, it will be in a package for a top 6 pick or to move into the later lottery but if it's the latter, it will either involve a capable replacement coming back to us (I.E. Rodney Hood) or Ainge will be making quite a statement about how much he likes James Young.

cavs are weird
they want more playmakers
when they already have trouble sharing the ball between lebron and kyrie
not to mention love who is also a good passer

I think it makes sense.  They want an Irving backup who is an upgrade on Dellavedova.  Since Irving is young, they want someone who can take minutes at the 2 so he plays more than 15 minutes per game.  Since Irving is injury-prone, they want someone who can start while he rests.

I think they are making a mistake by trying to fill all those roles with one person.

hayward's contract is not bad if they are looking to dump him

we could offer turner as he is a decent playmaker
but C's wont really go for this trade as we already have 4 picks including 2 1st rounders
that is 2 guaranteed rookie contracts
adding another 1st rounder would be 3 guaranteed rookie contracts

Cavs want another extra playmaker in case. If love, irving go down again (knowing that lebron is cursed) to have someone other than lebron 90 percent of the time having to be the playmaker, have a turner for example, drive and dish to thompson or drive and pop etc. Just someone like a iggy, barnes, diaw etc.

I do not think it is worth us for us, unless someone we likes drops and we could ditch someone we do not like.

... did the people who are questioning why the Cavs want another playmaker actually watch the Finals? Like, at all? That strikes me as an absurdly silly question.

I see IT even as a fit as six man off the bench. He is far more dependable for offense and spark than Dev at the point and production of Smith. However Turner seems like the right choice though as 24 and Cap isn't much.

Given how little our 28 pick is worth, why would we want to move Bradley for another late first pick that's probably just as worthless?
