TP for the thread.

I don't think, unless we trade up, that we have a prayer in the world of getting Stanley Johnson. Making the playoffs will mean pick 15-16. Maybe Poetl there, if he's still there? maybe RJ Hunter with the Clips pick?

I agree with signing Monroe. Do a S&T with Chicago for Butler, and I think we are ready to make noise in the East.

Monroe/Zeller/Poetl
Sully or KO (whoever we didn't trade)/Bass/Jerebko
Butler/Crowder/Turner/Gigi
Bradley/Young/Hunter
Smart/Thomas

That's some serious depth.

I like Monroe but he's not a center just like Sully isn't. He may have an inch or two on Sully but his rim protection is equally below average.

My dream is either:

Draft S. Johnson and sign Jordan or
Draft WCS and sign Butler

I think #2 is more reasonable
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Hmmm, ideal lineup?

Isaiah Thomas/Pressey
Marcus Smart/Bradley/Gigi
Stanley Johnson/Crowder/Turner
Anthony Davis/Jerebko/Bass
Nerlens Noel/Zeller

Trade KO for Noel
Trade Sully for Davis
Trade our pick for Johnson

Done!!

I put IT in there because...well what can I say I like the little guy!

My fairly realistic off season leads to this

C - Monroe
PF - Sullinger
SF - Turner
SG - Smart
PG - Thomas

Main Rotation - Bradley, Young, Cauley-Stein (9th or 10th pick), Olynyk, Zeller
Deep Bench - Jerekbo, Crowder
DLeague or Suit - Wallace, Rookie, Rookie

Monroe would play some at PF as well with WCS and Zeller.  Bradley would play both backcourt spots and hopefully Young can take on some real minutes (if not then Crowder steps into that role).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

Monroe is way more of a center than a PF.

My ideal lineup is
Cousins (we trade for Lawson then send him along with picks  Olynyk and Sully to Sacramento)
Love (signs as free agent)
Crowder
Bradley
Smart

Bench
Turner
Young
Zeller
Bass
draft pick.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I wonder if Monroe could be out next Al Jefferson.
He may not make us a contender, but he could be used in the future to get us the next Garnett.

Did anyone tell Monroe he's a center yet?

My ideal lineup would be:

1-  Smart- IT- Pressey
2-  Bradley- Young  -Crowder
3-  Turner-  Dekker (with our pick)  -Crowder
4-  Faried  (acquired in trade)-  KO- Lyles (with Clippers pick)
5-  R. Lopez (free agency acquisition)- Zeller

Robin Lopez and Faried would balance each other well and give us the rebounding and rim protection to take us to the next level defensively.  I believe that if Dekker can shoot like he has shown he can in college he would start over Turner and this team could finish ahead of Toronto for the division and have a bright future.  I believe Lyles has some long term potential and if Young puts it all together that would be the icing on the cake, if not then Crowder takes those minutes.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

Two free agents solve our problems.  Plus you keep the draft picks we have pick up Crowders option.

Two free agent signing DeAndre Jordan and Kawhi Leonard

Center - Jordan, Zeller K.O.

Power Forward - Sully, Draft Montrezl Harrell (Moving up the Clippers pick to middle of the 1st by adding our 2 second rounds this year since we don't need 4 players this year.  Can throw in Pressey as well) (Can resign Sully if we want after or this gives us youth if we let Sully go next year)

Small Forward - Leonard, Kelly Oubre (with our draft pick), Crowder (PF as well)

Shooting Guard - Bradley, Turner(SF as well), Young

Point Guard - Smart, Thomas
