red was the master of this,he got the crowd behind him and he sure bad mouthed and intimidated refs-i think BRAD should take a page out of his book a well timed rant "brads style" or tecnical or even getting tossed-red's teams have come back after events like that-crowder being barged that needed addressing,jerebko and  maybe a payback foul--getting cowd behind you is all about home court advantage-if brad can't do it give a player the ok to pick up a t-the crowder shoulder barging is the one that had me screaming the most-hate to think jerebkos foul could have thwarted comeback and be the defining moment  of playoff hopes--

good post. i am curious what other posters will say. for me, i loved red because he was THE patriarch of the most successful basketball team in history, and i was raised and brainwashed into loving the celtics. a nice combo. 

but, if i were not socialized to love the celtics, i would consider red to be among the biggest Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.s this side of of anywhere. the ralph sampson appeal on tv still embarrasses me. i loved red, but he was not the sort of guy i would hang out with.

next...CBS...i am happy he is NOT red. i like CBS'  calm demeanor (which is NOT like mine.) i prefer this instead of continual histrionics.

hwang-thanks i did put "BRADS STYLE"-his calm demeaner would just emphasize the the poor calls or way the refs were influencing game-my coach rollie massimino was italian and emotional,worked well for me,he terrified refs and his players-but the worst Rollie got was silent that was terrifying,remember john wooden he drove me crazy with his PHD calm approach,so maybe brad should go out and calmly really tell refs off until they t him-or allow crowder to  take a t on barging ,then the refs are put on notice-zeller gets clobbered all time and celts get called for a slap-

CBS said " good game" when he was tossed out of the one game to the refs.

Red had the moxy CBS does not, it would be against his nature and I would bet he lacks the respect that Red had.  I don't see it working for him.  Gravitas, Red had it in spades, CBS not so much.

why do we have women officials in a man's game? Well one of the women is a lesbian so... Well I am just confused here. Why do we have women referees, and why do we have to change the rules and dynamics of the game to fit with the crashers?

Who called a foul on that breakaway steal by Turner and then refused to call the clear path? Celtics had a three on zero advantage the referee called a stupid foul instead of leaving the Celtics with the advantage then failed to give the clear path .... what a joke.

She got away easy by being called 'girlie'.
