I thought he looked mad. I predicted KO might get his head shaved at halftime. And good for Stevens. Every once in a while, some grown men need a good cussing.

Brad Stevens is slowly turning into Pops from the Spurs.

He needs to seriously work on his interviews, for example :

- Good evening coach, may I ask you 2 questions?
   Hello, sure, go ahead.
- You have a serious opponent tonight. Are your players ready for the challenge?
   Yes, they are... blank
- Good, Memphis has a much bigger front court, I'm assuming you have a game plan in mind?
   Yes, we do... blank
- Could you elaborate?
   Sorry, you said 2 questions.
- Yes you are right, thank you mister Stevens.
   You are welcome.

I'd much rather see him continue to give Belichick-type interviews than spend time before/during a game talking to reporters about the game plan
I'm bitter.

Please God, someone shave KO's beard and hair.

Stevens does seem to be putting it all together as an NBA coach.  The next big test is what he'll do with more talent and more options next year.  Will the "everybody plays" constant line up tinkering return?  Is the success going small this year going to make Stevens think that's always the way to go?

Being cussed out by Brad Stevens is probably like getting Ned Flanders mad or Mr. Rogers.

In my mind's eye I can see it now
Quote
CBS:   You darn guys are playing really bad and I want it stop.  Now guys C'mon.
Team:  (Lowers heads and stares at the floor)
CBS:  Have some pride and team spirit.   You have mad me so angry
Team: (continues to look at floor)
CBS:   IGolly gee, I am mad.  You have let yourself down, your team, yourselves down.
Team: (looks wide eyed)
CBS:  Lets get out there and play right and brings these guys down.

My favorite CBS moments is when he got tossed and was he told the ref  "good game" on the way out.  That was priceless, that being said I am a big fan of his coaching but he is pretty vanilla  and a living tribute to Leonard Nimoy's Spock as he rarely shows emotion.  Maybe he too is half vulcan?

lol, whatever he did, worked.

It's crazy that the media isn't talking more about this guy. He's a quality coach that's getting the most out of his roster.

We'll be a feared opponent if we can get in.

I think it's less tinkering now and more tactical than it was at the beginning of the year.

Pressey plays when we need better pace or when the opponent has a 'lightning bug' pg
Olynyk stretches immobile bigs
Crowder is playing a lot because he's so good switching 3/4/5
Any 2 of Smart, Bradley, Crowder can be used to hide IT, Young, or Pressey on D
Jerebko, Datome are energy guys whose shooting can buy them minutes
Turner can play 1-3, relieve ball handling pressure for Smart.  Stevens prefers Turner against certain matchups.

And so on.  The team is practically impossible to gameplan for, outside of IT.  Even within a given lineup, Smart, Bradley and Turner will swap defensive assignments as a matter of convenience.

Out-of-town announcers can't even quantify how and why the Celtics are winning.  I think it's funny. Grizzlies announcers chalked it up to a lack of effort from Memphis.  Miami announcers said it was poor decision making by Miami.  Or, "you just can't let a bad team hang around and gain confidence".  Yeah right.  I hope teams continue to underestimate us.

He looked mildly agitated. Which in Bradworld probably means he was absolutely livid ;D

Maybe just a warmup for what I hope he gives Joe Crawford tonight.

Yelling at your players is more effective if you don't do it all of the time.  Brad Stevens is probably saving up a huge out-of-character motivational speech for when he finally gets a team to the NBA Finals.
"The worst thing that ever happened in sports was sports radio, and the internet is sports radio on steroids with lower IQs.” -- Brian Burke, former Toronto Maple Leafs senior adviser, at the 2013 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference

Phil Pressey won the game, not Brad's cursing.

Hard to say, but Evan Turner won the game. What game have you been watching?
