They rebound pretty well, they can both run the offense for themselves and others from the forward position, and Turner's defense isn't much worse than pierce's was early in his career.  You look at Turner and Pierce's age 26 season, and they have the same eFG%.
Age 26 was also Pierce's worst year for shooting efficiency of his entire career. Even then his TS% was 50 points higher than Evan's, 50 points of TS is a LOT.

Also, shooting from 10-16 feet (Pierce's elbow jumper), Turner has done just as well this year as Pierce ever did.  That's actually the one shot he's decent at.
This isn't true. 45.3% this year for Turner. I found 3 years already that Pierce had better than that. I only checked 6 year of his career somewhat randomly.

I'm saying they have a similar skillset, except Paul was an amazingly good scorer for someone with a diverse skillset, which is why he's a superstar and Evan Turner is a role player.  And I'm also saying that I feel the area Turner could best improve his game is at earning free throws -- if he gets to the line more frequently, his scoring becomes much more efficient.
They fufill a similar role, which is to say they're wing players who like to have the ball.

They're not comparable beyond the fact that they both play SG/SF and are ball dominant players. You're reaching hugely here.

I see that blind hate for Turner has helped people ignore the fact that he is, without question, one of 2 people on our team who can dribble into the paint to create something.

Pierce (in his prime) is what you would have if you took Turner, made him bigger, stronger and more physical and he played fundamentally sound in-control basketball.

Turner's best and worst quality is that he's a crazy out-of-control guy. That means that he makes stupid decisions sometimes, dribbles his way into trouble and doesn't know how to get out of it, but he's also not afraid to just go at guys and make plays in the lane.

Guys like Pierce who have the talent, the crazy confidence to play fearlessly and also stay in control and have great attention to detail are VERY rare.

Who's blind those of us who realize that whenever he shoots the ball he's doing the defense a favor on average, or those of you who value "creating" something in the paint.

Funny thing is that he doesn't actually get many shots in the paint or near the rim. If he did he'd be a much more useful player. Not only doesn't he drive a ton, he's not very good at it. He only shoots 40% on his drives.

Not only is this incorrect (as Faf just pointed out above) but it's also a bit of a false point. The 76ers certainly have a player who can dribble into the paint and create something without much success -- in fact, they used to have Evan Turner to do it -- but that doesn't mean any of the players on the 76ers are good at basketball in the NBA sense.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

blind hate-done without being able to see

I've watched him play all season. He does not play within himself on most occasions. Last night, he did and played very well.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
