If we end up having a no 7-11 pick this summer, does anyone think we can package that in a trade for Demarcus Cousins?

If Ainge also included Sullinger, Olynyk, Isaiah Thomas OR Avery Bradley, our 2015 1st rounder, Wallace's expiring and took back another contract like Jason Thompson or Carl Landry, does anyone think such a deal could be done?

Then maybe go after a power forward free agent like Greg Monroe or Paul Millsap?

There is a thread asking almost the same thing.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

The Kings would be sick in the head to not accept a trade of

sully, Avery, a top 5 pick this year a 1st next year and a couple 2nds give them Wallace expiring and also take some contracts off their hand. Idk who can offer anything better.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The only way they consider any package is if it gets REALLY bad in Sacto even after George Karl has been there for a season.
So no, there is basically zero chance the Kings would take our crappy 7th pick and some role players for their franchise level superstar player during the upcoming offseason.
They'll give Karl a training camp with the team and time to prepare for a 2016 playoff push before they even open the door to contemplating Cousins trades.

We basically have zero chance of getting Cousins for anything less than say the 1st or 2nd pick in the 2016 draft+the Brooklyn picks and even then we'd be lucky if they picked up the phone and eventually turned us down.

So we'd have to get lucky to get the 1st or 2nd pick and then get lucky enough to have the Kings make Cousins hate it so much he can't stand it AND find a common grounds of hate so deep that they move arguably their second greatest player ever behind Chris Webber approaching his prime.

Chance ever of Cousins being traded? Maybe 10%?

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Philly could because they could offer Embiid.  Whoever wins the top pick (Okafor) could.

Embiid would cost less in a trade than Cousins, and who knows might be attainable if Philly gets the first pick.

I posted this in the other Cousins thread. There is some extraneous KG talk, but I think it is a better fit here.

People comparing KG and Cousins are totally off base. KG used his intensity to raise his teams level of play. Cousins sulks and loafs on defense.

He is a talented player, that is obvious. Is he a winner ? Time will tell.

Sacramento would ask for, and get, a kings ransom for a 24 year old All Star center. His cost would start with Marcus Smart, another blue chip young player, and probably at least 3 of our/Brooklyn unprotected first rounders. A 26 year old LeBron or Jordan is worth that kind of investment. Cousins is not.

Greg Monroe is 75% as good as Cousins. All he costs is money. I would rather have Monroe + the above mentioned assets instead of a player that plays when it suits him.

Cousins is the classic million dollar body, ten cent head type of player that may or may not ever put it all together. Sort of reminds me of my ex-wife.

I like your subtle brag that you used to have sex with a woman who had a million-dollar body.

We won't get him cuz we don't have what sac want
They want to win now so we would have to give them veterans that are good starters like what we did wit the nets except we would also have to include picks to get cousins

Also cousins doesn't like Thomas cuz he sees him as a ball hog

Cousins prefers a pass first PG like rondo

The million dollar body was not worth the ten cent head. Trust me.

Love cousins talent, hate his attitude. Would not trade our future for someone who is a head case.
