  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If the season finished tomorrow, we'd pick 9th with our own 2016 pick and #24 with the Clippers pick.
So who would you select for each one? Pick three guys for each pick from favorite to 3rd favorite choice at the draft position.

Personally my picks would be:

#9 Winslow, Porzingis, Oubre.
#24 Caris Levert, Trey Lyles, Justin Anderson.

Does anyone else think Myles Turner may drop significantly to say..number 20 ? I can't believe he's projected around 10th- he's god awful and hasn't really gotten any better this season as far as NBA talent. He still moves like a 40 year old Dirk Nowitzki.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

#9  Winslow, Looney, Hezonja

#24 Levert, J. Grant, D. Wright (or Lucas)...I like all these big PG's this year, of course knowing nothing about Lucas aside from his physical profile and Brazilianness.

I like your picks but I doubt Porzingis will be available at #9.  I agree about Turner.  I definitely would not take him at #9 but if he fell to #24 I might take him as a project.

I'd try use them, together with one or two of the 2nd rounders we have to trade up into the top 5 and grab one of those centers who everyone seems to be so excited about. That is, if the one that slides to us isn't all that.

First priority would be to use both picks or more to trade up and grab St. Johnson or any surprise dropper. Second priority would be to use #24 and a 2nd rounder to move in the 17-20 range for Poeltl or Harrell.

As this is not really what you asked, I'd look at Draftexpress. From what is left at all picks:

#9 Winslow, Oubre - BPA
#24 (as Anderson is already off the table in the latest DE draft) swinging with the George Lucas Brazilian Freak. That wingspan and those hands!

#32 - Upshaw (if the intelligence say so) or Dakari
#39 - Draft and stash in this order Vezenkov (SF/PF absolutely killing it in Greece), Jaiteh (very good season in France), Osman (a point forward, talented kid), Willy Hernangomez (a medium floor, low ceiling center)
"We do so many defensive drills in practice, I come home and I'm putting the press on my woman, denying her the ball.
Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

Depends on who gets picked before them, but in my ideal scenario, Okafor at #9 and Russel at #24...

Or vice versa   ;D ;D ;D
