Would anybody besides me like to trade Smart & Olynyk & a 1st, and then on flip side just go back hard after Rondo this summer to play with Cousin's? I think its something Ainge may be thinking about & we would be the mist attractive team for Rondo do to the history here & assets we have going forward.

but Rondo is a free agent this summer no? If we are able to snatch Cousins, with whatever assets we have, can't we try to convince Rondo to come back
oh, i see. you have a sense of humor.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I stated a few days ago that the never ending "Blame Bradley" threads are the most annoying theme of this blog this year.

I take it back: the "Get Boogie Cousins" threads are worse. Someone posts one every darn day. SAC has zero reason to trade him. It's not happening. Stop.

If Karl doesn't like him, that may be the only reason they need.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

We should also fire Stevens too while we're at it and hire Mike Malone as HC. He knows how to keep Cousins in check.

(I hope he does)
Actually, Ainge in his interview gave a very convincing explanation about why it made no sense to try keep Rondo. And no we are not getting Cousins (if ppl are still interested in the original question)

Why would we want Rondo back?  He's toast.

If Karl doesn't like him, one would wonder why he'd sign on to coach the Kings knowing Cousins was in the first year of his contract extension.  There were other teams interested in hiring him.

Maybe because the he knows he could get a haul for Cousins and then rebuild the team with the players he wants.

Man, when I read things like 'if the coach who just signed does not like his new team's only asset, then the reasonable thing to do is to ship the asset to the C's in exchange for a bag of potato chips' two things come to my mind:
i/Kudos to your love for the C's
AND ii/thanks for the laugh, mate!

hey man. The picks in question are the picks from Brooklyn.
You still have no idea if they will be top ten picks or not again, they are not going to tank just for us to get the picks.   The new owner might be a big spender and one or two signings and they ain't that good.   What if say Durant went there?

Plausible theory.  The issue is that George Karl isn't interested in rebuilding; he's said as much on several occasions in the past.  He feels he's too old and accomplished to oversee any rebuilding projects.

Wow...that's a big font for one of my posts.   ;D
I don't know who is supplying the laughs, but I didn't say anything about the C's getting Cousins for a "bag of potato chips".  I was just answering the question why Sac would trade Cousins.  And everyone knows that it would take at least a bad of Doritos to get him.

Why can't we get Cousins? George Karl isnt stupid.  If we give him Smart, KO and Ainge has 80 draft picks. If Karl wants to build the kings his way vs around Cousins, why is this so far fetched?

DA can pretty much offer a better deal than Karl is going to get in his lifetime for Boogie.  That's why we have all these picks.

Smart, KO and 4 first rounders for Cousins. If you were Karl would you do that? I'm not saying we should give up that much.  But saying Cousins is untouchable is a bit of a stretch imo.

I'd pay just about any price for Cousins. He'd be better than any player we could draft with any of our picks.

I wasn't aware Karl was also the General Manager of the Kings, as well as the head coach.
