How he handle all the picks and this rebuild would determine in my opinion.  So far he's done a fantastic job and we can't ask for more.  We could get mad at him for giving Avery a ridiculous contract but he's not perfect.  I can certainly overlook that if he's able  bring us back to contending again in the not so far future.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my

So what he did & brought in the first rebuild meant nothing ?

It was obviously someone with profound faith in him , more than I can say for myself.

Yeah, that track record of his brings little faith to me as well.  He can't build a winner, no way.

He thought AB would take the next step, and evolve he didn't.   Gambler Danny!  That move did not hamstring us though and AB had shown a lot of progress up to this year.

He has regressed this year but only slightly.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking Wallace or McDonough.

But definitely not Larry.  He'd never give Danny any public credit, or admit anybody was better than him. ;)

One NBA GM told me, "Danny Ainge is the best GM in the league" while discussing all his trades of Jeff Green, Brandan Wright, etc. #Celtics

Well, it's a little bit deceptive.

The rest of the quote, which was omitted, read " at helping opposing teams by giving them quality players for peanuts".

That conversation probably went something like, "hey Danny, who do you think is the best GM out there?", "I am moron, it isn't even close, but don't put my name on that."
