Anyone still believe we gave up a shot at a championship by trading Perk for Green?

And now we are trading that player for probably more scraps.

I would say that initial trade was a failure.

Lebron doesn't

LeBron didn't win his ring that year, so I'm not sure why his opinion matters.

Also, Rondo had literally one arm that post-season.  We weren't winning a title that year.

Perk would've gently caught Rondo in his arms before he hit the ground, sparing his elbow.  Then glared at D-Wade so hard that he'd immediately retire.  Some onlookers would swear they heard the love theme from The Bodyguard playing softly in the background, but it could never be confirmed.

Beautiful.

heh... i love how Ainge isn't even trying to deny at this point.   He just throws in some GM fluff:  "Jeff's been our best player this year," Ainge said. "He has had a fantastic year. Last night, he didn't have a good game."

It's really hard to pretend like Green isn't going to be traded.  He's going to be traded.  If it's for an expiring contract that saves us a couple mil, it'll happen.  But we have another month of us semi pretending like we're willing to keep our "best player" with hopes that some crazy team will get desperate and include a 2nd rounder with their expiring contract.

He sounds like Scott Boras talking up a client.

This is one of the funniest threads I have seen.  TP for the cereal and Perk comments.

Everyone wants truth on his side, not everyone wants to be on the side of truth.

This was a hilarious listen.

Green is gone which isn't a shock but it just seems weirdly obvious in Ainge's tone.

I don't think Ainge will have to add a 2nd. First or Adams with filler is "fair".

Gotta believe he would have won that year. If Perk would have been here Rondo would not have got hurt because time would have been different. Who knew the O'Neals would have both failed too. We did get another guy who plays in Russia now too. Now back to the watching the greatest team in the League on TNT the Knicks. LOL

I don't think the Grizzlies will give up a 1st for Green.  They wanted Lee the last time and we ended up paying up more.  They are a frugal org

We have so many 2nd round picks, i don't mind burning one and getting another 1st instead. we can have 3 first for 2015. A very good way to force our way to getting a top 5 pick
