My green glass is half full fellas.  Toronto should win the atlantic.  We CAN outplay them.  Dallas and Houston are legit contenders.  So far this season our offense when clicking looks very good.  Let Stevens get rotations going and players into the swing of things, 82 games…..

Your not going to outplay anyone allowing 106 points per game..

Defense is part of it. If Stevens thinks trying to outscore the opponent is the answer he'll be back in the NCAA in no time..

Come to think of it, the fact that literally no one put a hand in Varajeo's face didn't exactly help either.

i think stevens knows that. he also may know that he has mismatched and young talent on his team. last year the celtics were tied for 13th in the nba in terms of points allowed by defense. this year the celtics are tied for 28th spot.

it is not that the steven cannot get the team to play credible defense, if last season is an indicator. this year stevenson has slightly different talent and is developing the team in different ways i think based upon the talent he has.

when ainge gets better talent to stevens the celtics will play better ball. nothing profound here.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Discussed on this week's edition of the Celtics Beat podcast:

http://ec.libsyn.com/p/3/d/a/3dae2b371eb25232/celtis_beat_1115.mp3?d13a76d516d9dec20c3d276ce028ed5089ab1ce3dae902ea1d06c98137d9c85bc75d&c_id=7882826

Is this a young players thing? A Brad Stevens thing? Or a Rajon Rondo thing?

I think it is coaching more than anything.  Stevens just refuses to play our best players at the most critical times.  I get the first half letting everyone play but in the 4th the rotations need to tighten and there need to be short breaks.  The starters could have played that entire 4th at the pace it was played.  If they need it, give them short breaks, like 5 minutes of real time tops.  Shorten the rotation to 8 or even 7 if we go 3 guards and Turnover slips up the the SF for Green to get a break.

While I agree with this, I'm still hopeful that this will settle down as the season progresses.
