On another note, i'm disappointed with Sullinger.  The guy has not improved his shape/condition to the level it should be after having a full offseason this time. Look at KO in comparison.   Come on Sully

I noticed this in the first training camp footage - Sully looks huge.  I'm wondering if he looks even bigger than last year.  Pretty poor effort I think...but I'll save final judgement until I can see his conditioning say, 10 games in to the regular season.   Maybe he is better conditioned than he looks.

Yeah like I said in another thread I really don't understand this at all. Sullinger is a professional athlete...His goal this summer was to lose weight... The only obligation and responsibility he has in the offseason is too get in shape...

How does he come in to camp "almost there" stamina wise... He should be COMPLETELY THERE. And he should have no excuse otherwise because he is finally healthy.

IF you heard him over the summer, he didn't care much for "losing weight" vs coming into shape.  Like it doesn't matter if i come in the top 20 in the marathon, as long as finish kind of mentality

Bryan Doo should of pushed him harder but in the end its up to sully to change his body. He does suicide sprints 2 to 3 times a week (for even a month) and there is no way he doesn't shed some pounds and gets cut.   He really needs this to increase his stamina and get some more lift in his jump

It's too bad that Zeller was working out on his own vs getting advice from Doo, who did a great job helping KO transform his body. KO will have even a better body next season i would imagine. Zeller is not in bad shape. Probably stronger too. But he can't get too bulky at the cost of losing his quickness , agility , running and quick jumping ability

Yeah but he didn't seem to do either. Which indeed is extremely disappointing.

I think Stevens and especially Ainge are disappointed also. Ainge wanted him to come into this season in much better condition.

Maybe this is just how Sully doo, boi ;) lol.  Perhaps he shouldn't have been rewarded with Scooby Snacks (sarcasm).

All kidding aside, this is just another reason to trade him for Randle, straight up.  Well, technically, it would have to be Sully and one of the two trade exceptions (which are worth the same amount of money, according to the trade machine), but who cares lol?  It's time to ship dat ass out of Mass ;D

As for Zeller, the dude looked like he had just woken up from a long winter's nap ;)  Seriously bro, do you even ball (sarcasm)?  He really looked awful.  Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow :)

I think what Sullinger meant was gaining weight in muscle. I think Sullinger's stamina should be fine, someone put stats for Sullinger when he plays 30 minutes or more and it was very good, we'll see during the regular season.

Oops! My mistake. I came here thinking this was a thread about Zeller.  ;)

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Did you see him walk on every TV timeout he looked pretty winded, most the other guys were jogging.

On Zeller, I hope your right.  The new team might may be it.   He is not a star but has been effective in the past.   He is 6 days in and may not know the schemes and looked lost.   I hope he is more than six fouls for us this year.   I always liked Henson better between him and Zeller when he was at NC.

Just me but I refuse to believe that adding 5-10 pounds onto a 7 foot 250 pound frame is suddenly going to make a player look sluggish, slow, unable to jump as high or any of the other silly claims that are being made about Zeller. What it appear to me is he didn't have his cardio-vascular training down and into mid season form yet. My guess is half the team is in that position and about 60% of the league is like that.

Zeller will be fine come the start of the season. Just gotta get his legs under him is all.

Now expecting him to be really good or some major contributor to this team, that's another matter. I happen to think he's a good back up center and that's about it, but that's probably a subject for a different thread.

Zeller did not look fit.

He had his best game of the year.  He looks like he is in better shape vs a month ago, and it took time for him to learn the plays.  He made a couple of very good picks to open things up for KO.   I like his pump fakes before he scores. He knows what to do underneath the basket

Somebody post videos of Pressey making outstanding passes to Zeller underneath. They connected a few times and Zeller either didn't miss or drew a foul. He is rounding into form.
