If we could get rid of Wallace for McGee ...think about it. Wallace is on his last legs...and hinders development of younger guys on a non contending team. Meanwhile, McGee could flourish in a starter role and gain confidence? BFF he fails, he is no bigger hit on the books than Wallace... And at his worst, he is still good for 5 fouls in the post or situational PT.

He isn't my first (or fifteenth) choice, but the money is nearly a wash...for the chance McGee improves. Nothing much to lose IMO.

if they took wallaces contract im all for it. Always kinda liked McGee even if he is  a knuckle head. rondo could throw the ball anywhere near the rim and it would be an alley

No...unless we extended the deal somehow to include another player. I would have if they still had Anthony Randolph ... He would have been a nice throw in but the bulls got him in the mC buckets deal on draft day.

I'd do it, he can be a knucklehead at times but I still think he's starting caliber in the right situation.
Not only is he a starting caliber knucklehead, he'll probably qualify for the allstar knucklehead team easily.

I don't want the Celtics to have anything to do with any of the McGee family. I'd much rather eat Wallace's contract, and the value we'll get from that may be a wash, too.
