Report: Deron Williams has surgery on both ankles

Sounds similar to when Ray had those double ankle surgery and came back fine.  Williams is a limitless younger when Ray had it done so maybe he will come out of this ok.

Even fully healthy at the top of his game, Deron Williams was never 3/4s the player that Ray Allen was.

That's a hard one -- different play styles, different systems, even as ball dominant guards. Ray was never the passer Williams was, and arguably never possessed his handles, either.

  I've never been a Deron fan, but he was pretty solid on those Utah teams, better than 3/4 what Ray was in any case.

Eh. It makes for a good debate. I could see multiple sides to the argument.  I, for one, always thought Deron was overrated, even in Utah.

Thats fair enough.  But Ray was always the very best at that one thing, heck, one of the best in league history at that one thing, and consistently for a sustained period of time.  DWill was never the best at anything and his peak years lasted a very short period of time, actually, and specifically, under the tutelage of Jerry Sloan.

Good player , I think he may have finally grown up and come down to earth ,  I figured he was getting the cortisone shots.  All of a sudden when players are "healed" it is due to this treatment.

Within minutes what had hurt is like new .  But they are not good to take more than three a year.

Wade lives off these things I'm sure.

DWill sad oesn't take punishment well.....hard hits usually ends bad for him when he hits the floor or has a major collision .  He always seems to get the worst of a crash on court.

He is sorta fragile for a big strong looking fellow.
