McAdoo is a 4. He's not skilled enough to be a NBA small forward. He's really not small for a PF in today's nba either.

Well he can guard sfs. Excellent lateral quickness.

But i agree with the lack of skill level of a nba sf.

He has been playing out of position playing center at times which has stumped his growth imo

he lacks basketball instincts too, in college he needs to be the 3rd best player.  That's why I think if Hairston was at UNC right now they would win it.  Hairston, Paige and McAdoo would have been tough to beat with the other depth UNC has...

I think McAdoo's basketball instincts are just fine. His game is that of a glue guy though, not a primary scorer or ball handler.

UNC needed Hairston because they lack shooting without him. My wife is still p---ed at him.

Hairston, Mcdonald and Paige would have been tough to guard on the perimeter.  Also, Bullock left too, when people thought he would stay.  Any ways....hahah...just venting!!!!  You like his instincts?  I will say he is much better this year than last...

Def a tweener. But imo he would have no real adv playing pf in the nba. He could be overmatched by size and length.  As a sf he can at least provide lockdown defense and cause issues in the offensive end bc of his size adv. He has decent handles and a mid range jump shot

Kyle anderson was impressive today vs arizona. 20 points 15 rebounds . Gordon didnt produce offensively and was good defensively

Warren did all he can to try and keep ncstate in the game vs duke.Another nice shooting night.

Sam dekker needs to stay another year in college. Just so passive out there.

He's been impressive all year.

This was his 14th double-double, has a triple double and many other games with very impressive stat lines: 21,6,9....28,7,7....16, 11, 6, 3, 2.....17, 13, 7, 2,1

Those who doubt him because of his "lack of athletic ability" are making a big mistake. I hope we take him.

- Per Espn Warren will declare for the 2014 draft.  I see him climbing past guys like Hood, Mcdermott. Unlike Mcdermott who struggles against athletic defenders or certain teams, TJ Warren can score on anybody.  I would be surprised if this trend doesn't continue into the nba

I hope Danny considers drafting Warren who will provide consistent, efficient offensive production (unlike Green) and effort on the defensive end

this thread has convinced me that when the celtics draft at around #18, there will be a number of highly talented players available. great!  :D

thanks guys for all the analyses.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Not counting the unknown sliders, or the unknown of who returns to school, i am pretty excited about the top 25 picks or so.

Considering the title of this thread, i think that McDermott and Warren will be gone by 18. dekker should probably go back to school to develop into a first round pick. Anderson looks good in that 18-20 range. The foreign bigs, Capela and Nurkic could push people into our range. If not we could grab one of them at 18.

If the celtics dont trade the pick, we could find ourselves with a nice wing or big man.

McAdoo wasn't overly impressive in the game vs ISU on Sunday.  He refused to take a 10-15 jump shot.  ISU sagged way off of him, and he was a bit of a liability on offense, especially in the 1st half.  He did hit a few shots in the paint in the 2nd half.  He doesn't seem to quick enough at all to play the 3 in the nba.  A power forward for sure.  But based on the eye test of the game sunday (obviously small sample size) he is a couple steps below Sully on the talent level.  Another poor free throw shooter.  No thanks.

A change of scenery is what the doctor ordered for JM.  He has really never looked comfortable playing for the tar heels.   If Danny reaches and picks him up with our 2nd 1st, i won't be disappointed. JM has an incredible combo of size, athleticism, quickness and skills.  The mental is the weakest link. Under a new system, he might gain the confidence he needs to be a real good player.

Worse case you get a guy who hustles, is a nice defender and does a little bit of everything.
