not horrible. Helps the Nets immensely! They could really carve out their place as #3 seed this season. Come playoff time I don't think the Pacers or Heat would be looking forward to playing that Nets team.
For the Magic they get worse...pretty much solidify a Top 5 pick. but why would they move their young big man? And it's not like Arron Afflalo is old. These are very talented young players Orlando is giving up. they would prefer to give up Davis and Nelson. But of course the Nets aren't biting on that.
and then there's the whole injury concern with Brook Lopez. This is the 2nd time he's had a major injury. he's 25. A big man with bad feet is a very, very bad combination.
If I'm Orlando I say "NO WAY". I'd rather keep what I have and pass on Lopez.
for Brooklyn...they are playing this right. Lopez is a big chip if they can convince a team that his health isn't a major issue. He's a 25 year old All-Star Center that's under contract. But I don't think Orlando is the trade partner.
Maybe Lopez for Gasol? If the Lakers feel like Lopez can get healthy....Or Lopez to New Orleans for Eric Gordon and Jason Smith.
IDK. Interesting post though
