If I were Danny, unless this trade includes Demarcus Cousins coming our way I would hang up the phone.

The Kings are not bad enough right now for their draft picks to be worth as much as Rondo...and even if they WERE bad enough, I still would not trade a legit All-Star (and borderline Superstar) in this league for the hope or maybe getting a future All-Star.

In fact Sacramento now have have Demarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay on the team.  If they add Rondo to that core, I'd be very surpsised if they don't make the playoffs...meaning their draft pick is worth not much at all.

So for me their opening line better include DC, or the conversation will not last long...

I cant see Rudy Gay being added as a huge difference maker. They are 6 and 16 or something as of yesterday and Rondo coming back in February-or even March at closer to full strength isn't affecting their record too much. In fact id bet my life savings they dont make the playoffs out west- it's a different story out there.

They can also pick for the Celtics but at this stage there's almost no way that pick isnt top 10..(they owe the Cavs their pick if it's outside the top 12 but it wont be,so they can pick whichever player we want).

Getting Mclemore, 2 picks and expirings would be incredible value.
By moving Rondo it means we'd probably look to dump and players that we dont need if we also move Bass, Crawford, Hump and Wallace we'd have options to move Green and Bradley for another nice pick.
ie: Charlotte doesn't make the playoffs so their pick they owe the Bulls is theirs, so they pick for us.(we just can't own the pick as our asset).

Something like:
Green+Crawford for
Rights to the Bobcats pick (must be top 12 pick in 2014)+
an expiring deal eg. Ben Gordon
This deal can be completed on draft night if needed.

People also need to remember that Isiah Thomas expires this year so getting him is like getting J Crawford for another 5 months.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
