i did not see vit in action, but from what everyone says he seems to be a decent player.
did he show an outside shot at all? or does he need to stay under the basket? that would make a difference in celtic front court combos.
would it be safe to say that so far he looks like a very nice back up center in the nba on a good team?
it cost the celtics nothing but money to get this guy. good move by ainge.
From watching him play the games he has, his 3 pt shot has looked from beautiful to airball/brick city so its inconsistent, but his form is good so I think it'll be a weapon for him.
But as far as offense goes overall, he's really strong running the floor already and he can finish well. He has nice hands. He also has a jump hook with either hand which he looks comfortable with, which could be a big weapon.
I think yes he has the potential to be a good backup C and maybe a starter (if guys like Perk can start, why not). Interested to see how he develops.
Right now it definitely looks like a great pickup. I don't know how this guy wasn't picked up before or drafted. Maybe Austin Ainge worked some magic.
