To be honest, I haven't caught much of Spike Lee's recent work, but I'm still a very big fan of School Daze, Do the Right Thing, He Got Game, Jungle Fever, and even Malcolm X.

As far as his Knicks fandom goes, I think it's entertaining in the way that Jack Nicholson is entertaining as the Lakers' resident celebrity fan.

He's good for the game.  The more hateable he is on the side lines, the more fun Knicks games are (especially now that they've final got some aspirations).

Also, the guy has been a Knicks fan forever. Hard to doubt his commitment, especially since he's had to watch some very, very, bad teams in between the Willis Reed Game and now.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Spike's rivalry with Reggie Miller is one of my favorite NBA memories.  A lot of fun.

Spike is best to get back to his day job...making crap movies that nobody wants to watch.

I don't know. I was watching Do The Right Thing the other day. Love that movie, lol.

Yeah, he's a pretty good/great filmmaker. I really like He Got Game as well.

That said, I mean, the guy's a Knicks fan... we're not exactly supposed to bend over and kiss his feat (as far as sports go), are we?

Really? I still haven't seen He Got Game. I've got to watch that movie!

The Knicks have a winner more recently than Spike!

Jimmy Buffett was thrown out of a Heat game one time for using bad language at the end of a game. I have a feeling that that punk Lee is doing the same thing every game.

It also stars Ray Allen... and, coincidentally, I haven't seen it since he left for Miami. Don't know if that'd make a difference to you, but it may to some.

I'm always surprised when people get offended by foul language in this day and age.

Besides the Denzel/Jodie Foster movie Inside Man, Spike hasn't exactly hasn't  been killing it at the box office the past decade.  His last big budget feature, Miracle at St. Anna in 2008 made only $10m worldwide box office on a $45m budget.

Lee successfully crowd-sourced his next movie's budget, a unique way to make a movie without being beholden to a studio.  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spikelee/the-newest-hottest-spike-lee-joint

Story I heard from a guy from Martha's Vineyard once...."I'm cutting the lawn at the golf course at like 6am and suddenly out of nowhere I hear 'QUIET DOWN THERE!'  I look all around, then I look up and it's Michael Jordan and Spike Lee yelling at me from the bedroom window".    Now what MJ and Spike were doing at 6am in Spike's bedroom I could not say.  But there you go

What fool mows the lawn at 6AM?  Is that SOP for golf courses?
A fair question. I would imagine it has something to do with the rain forecast

I don't understand why you would call Spike Lee a racist?
