No, but not because Danny wouldn't love to have him, but because there is no realistic chance that Lebron would end up with the Celtics so why bother

Talk about realistic chance... did anyone of us guessed that this season PP and KG will end up with the Nets? And we'll have Humpries in return? Or even Doc in another separate team from the Celtics and KG??

Realistic chance.. I guess there's not even a realistic chance that we'll end up with KG, RA and PP as out roster and having a banner #17 out of their first season together ;)

So you're suggesting that there is a realistic chance that Lebron comes to the Celtics? Passing up on Miami, LA, Chicago, New York or going back to Cleveland to come to Boston?

I think there is a better chance of KG, PP, Ray and Doc reuniting in Boston to bring number 18 than there is Lebron doing it.

Yup and its not like the celts org is chump change.

Im not banking on lebron coming here, and looking fwd to the next chapter. But with 2008 happening i dont rule out the impossible anymore. Danny changed a lost rebuilding team to a championship roster in matters of weeks

Lebron staying in mia is #1 obviously. Nyn possible due to melo leaving next year freeing up cap space. But again la equals no bc i cant see ball hog kobe existing with lebron and cle no bc gilbert pizzed off lebron for life.

Bos non tropical weather and rivalry history would prob turn off lebron but again with the tradition and players like rondo on the team we would have a very small and realistic chance imo

Lebron James is either staying in Miami or going back to Cleveland.  Nothing else.

I actually think he doesn't opt out and finishes out his contract in Miami and returns back to Cleveland in the summer of 2016 to finish out his career on something far less than the maximum (to help smooth things over and restore his image a bit).  If he opts in, that gives him about 45 million over the last two seasons and gives Miami a couple of more chances to get another title.  I also can't see him leaving Miami in 2014 unless they have a total train wreck of a season.  I mean if they win a title again, I can't see how he can leave the 3 time defending champion.

would DA possibly target lebron for 2014

DA is not a GM who is used to offer contract notable free agents like Lebron or other great players. He is used to change the team using major trades like he did in 2007 getting via trade Ray and KG.
