Bulls reject LaMarcus Aldridge trade ?

I'm not sure whether I trade Joakim Noah for L.Aldridge if I were Chicago.

I prefer Aldridge to J.Noah but Noah looks very difficult to replace. I would want to have something lined up simultaneously with the Aldridge trade. Maybe Deng for someone. And I would want to keep Jimmy Butler and would give up draft picks instead.

I wonder if it isn't just easier to keep Noah and build around D.Rose and J.Noah. Try for a sign and trade for a lesser talent like Paul Millsap.

Just highlights why they needed to sign Asik.

If they had Asik they could have traded for Alridge centered around Noah without hesitation.

Not only is Portland asking for Joakim Noah, they're asking for Jimmy Butler, too. That trade heavily favors Portland and obviously Chicago is going to turn it down.

Aldridge is a great player and I think he's absolutely someone the C's should be looking at, but we simply don't have anyone to offer for Portland. They're looking to contend very soon, as demonstrated by their interest in Noah, and we simply don't have a Noah of our own to give back.

I would definitely not trade Noah for Aldridge if I am the Bulls. Forget Rose. Noah is the heart of that team. If Thibs is their coach, Noah stays, because that team will be centered on defense.

Since his rookie season, Noah has shown uncommon intensity and focus. This is the same guy who as a rookie got mad at veteran teammates for taking losing lightly.
